Time Stands Still for the Wooden Buffalo

October 7, 2023

Dream is about the 4 distinct groups of bison or buffalo. I see them paused in time. I can see them through a window or door. A man has a large camera much like the ones used in movie production, but it is still small enough to carry around about the size of a briefcase. The camera has a small mirror inside it that refracts the light. I study the camera carefully. There is something about the way it refracts light that pauses time. I want to figure it out and understand how it is done.

There is a sliding door much like a boxcar on a freight train. I open the door to look outside. I feel it may reveal a clue on where I am. I close it and immediately start flying. I am looking for Oliver. I feel I am gliding through a long hallway. I can see a shadow of someone in front of me and one behind me. I then see Oliver through the window. He is outside with the Bison and Buffalo. He appears to be helping me solve the riddle. Unlike the bison he is not frozen in time. He tells me there is nothing to worry about don’t be afraid because the buffalo are wooden. He proceeds to show me how their legs are made of wood.

There is a woman who is illuminated by a deep crimson red light. She is speaking to me in sign language. I study the motion of her hands to discern what she might be trying to tell me. She is also speaking with her mouth, but I can’t hear her. Her hand signs I watch closely but I am unable to recognize anything I recognize. I worry I am not understanding her. She seems to be reassuring me I understand. I am determined to figure out all these mysteries. I believe they wouldn’t be happening to me if they were not meant to be understood.

Treasures of David Butler

June 18, 2019

Last night’s dream was super cool. It reminded me of an episode of Harry Potter. In the dream, I discover a pattern to make money. I have observed people often drop dollar bills at the metro. The dollars fall into the cracks in between the floor tiles. Most are in a rush to get to where they are going so they are completely oblivious to the treasures that lie at their feet. On this day and every day, I rummage through the tiles on the platform looking for lost treasures. It is my lucky day. I find many $20 dollar bills. People are finding out about my good fortune and want in on my secret but they just haven’t got the knack of looking in between the tiles. You also want to wait long enough for the person who dropped the dollar bill to be gone so you are not considered stealing. The items have to be lost for the finder to pick them up and consider them his own treasures.

I repeat my daily routine of scouring the platform for lost dollars. On a subsequent day, I discover a small box someone has left behind. I look into the box and see a wad of cash. I’ve hit the jackpot. I quickly check to make sure this qualifies as lost. There is so much cash here and other treasures I am having trouble finding a place to put them on my person. My pockets are stuffed full. A few of my follows grab a couple items to help me haul them off.

My name is David Butler and I work in a castle as a teacher of archaeology. I also have a store front in the castle where I sell some of my found treasure which I’ve determined can be sold. On this day a student arrives unexpectedly early and takes the liberty of opening the storefront windows revealing my artifacts from the previous day. I tell her I am still in the process of cataloging the items. I am particularly interested in the wad of dough. The dollar bills are not of this epoch. The symbols and faces on the money are from a time long ago. The symbols are animated just like the pictures in a Harry Potter movie. From watching David Butler work it become apparent he is not interested in the value of the items but is mainly interested in the message the items communicate much like reading a tarot deck. One of the bills has a 3D image of 3 swords. David pulls one of the swards out of the dollar bill to measure it. He hesitates for a moment realizing this is a big one.

He is now secretly planning a spectacular event to show off his findings. The dresses up as a night with armor and a veiled face. His fail is made of animal fur. He looks at me and shows me his sward and banner, implying he is expecting feedback on how he looks. I on the other hand am captivated by the man in furr. I respond, I’m interested more in the man.

He takes off to position himself in the castle for the opening festivities. He is so high on the euphoria of his find he is unable to land. His excitement has caused him to take flight. To solve this he reaches for his long sword and point it to the ground. The tip of the sword touches the top step of the baluster anchoring him firmly to the castle.

This is David Butler.

~~~~~~~ DREAM ENDS!
This was such a dramatic dream. It also felt so real when I was there especially when we were in the castle and his work area. What was very interesting to me in the dream was when the dream morphed and I went from being the main character to that of the observer. It seemed to happen when I reached a point where I was more interested in learning about what it is I am doing in the dream that my consciousness moved to a position of observer. This split also coincided with the revelation that David Butler was more interested in what he was learning from the objects (the symbols on the bills) than the value of the bills themselves. This is also when the character took on the identity of David Butler. I don’t know where the name came from but it was very loud and clear. The climax of course was when David Bulter laid down his sword on the baluster to touch the earth.
Phenomenal simply phenomenal!!
I’m going to put this in the romance category because of the word armor. I think this is a play on words with amore which means love in Italian. When I told him I was more interested in the man under the fur it felt very sexual and intimate and the sword lent itself to the part of a man. At the moment when I responded I felt the dream was hinting at a love to come my way.
Definition of butler. 1 : a manservant having charge of the wines and liquors. 2 : the chief male servant of a household who has charge of other employees, receives guests, directs the serving of meals, and performs various personal services.
Cat Box Cove
February 13, 2019
In last night’s dream, I am standing outside my house. Before me are two row houses side by side. One of them is structurally sound the other is in the process of being deconstructed. I can not quite remember which one of the two is my house. Thinking back to when I was inside it felt like I was on one side but standing outside the same side seems reversed. I am hoping it is the one that is structurally sound because I do not want to have to deal with the problem of reconstruction.
I remember feeling so confused I walk back into the row house to see if I can make sense of my home. While I’m inside, I notice the area beside the sofa has a round wooden table with enough space below it to place a cat box. I sense I will have a partner with a cat who will need space for a cat box. I then remember I have some overdue library books and CD’s I need to return. I am worried because the books and CD’s have been in my possession for a long time. I pick up the CD cases and notice the CDs are missing from their case.
I leave and hop on the train. The train travels through a mountainous area. The mountains tops are snow covered and I can see the city lights in the hills of the mountain. There is one group of lights in the distance. I somehow know the lights correspond to my destination. I notice how the mountain seems to move as the train I am traveling on also moves down the track. At times the mountain moves faster or slower in my window depending on the track. As the train pulls up to the next station I can see the light I had seen early. I have arrived.
~~~~~ DREAM ENDS

The cat box in this dream seems very much out of place when I woke up. I also woke up believing I had over due library items that I had not returned. I remember waking up struggling to figure out where I might have left the missing items.

Last night my cat did not come home. When I went to bed I thought she was in the house. I could have sworn I had seen her. I don’t like going to bed knowing one of my cats might have stayed outside. This morning I looked for her everywhere in the house with no success. I called her outside and nothing. I’ve been looking for her all day and she has not surfaced. I have two cat boxes. One is next to the sofa table and is the one she liked to use most. My other cat always used the other one. Seemed like they had self assigned cat boxes. The dream was about Mocha’s cat box. I wonder if Mocha was sending me a message.

Home Team

October 22, 2018

I don’t remember much of last night’s dream except when I woke up to snooze the alarm I laid my head back down and got comfortable then I immediately entered a dream state where I am looking at family photographs.  I see a few where the people in the photographs are playing sports.  There is one picture of two guys standing together for the photograph.  I try to make out the faces.  The man on the right is in his college years.  I can see his face clearly.  The one on the left his face is notably blurred.  I flip the page to look at another photograph.  It is the photograph of a young man around the age of 7.  The boy in the photograph begins talking to me.  I can see his lips move but I can’t hear anything audibly but on some level deep within me I seem to understand.

Sitting with his message inside me I pause to examine his appearance.  His face is shaped like my dad’s with sandy brown hair.  I take note of the items in the background.  The colors in the background are monochromatic.  I see a safari  jeep and zebra both having black and white colors.  His jersey is red and white.  My alarm rings a second time.

A Koinundrum

July 12, 2018

I find myself busy in the dream playing with my dogs and talking to friends.  I realize it is my bedtime and I need to retire to my bed yet I still have so much yet to accomplish.  I sit on my bed and before I can blink I am fast asleep.  The next thing I remember is waking up again in the dream.  (This is the first time I can ever remember falling asleep in a dream and waking up again within the dream.)  Upon waking I realize I’ve been asleep for 2 days which has caused me to miss work and not report in.  I am concerned I will be disciplined for not reporting in to work.  Yet those around me are not displaying any concern at all.  I feel refreshed and joyful.  A thought pops in my mind, “Who cares if I miss work!”

I turn my focus to the many projects I have left to complete.  My two dogs are now Koi fish and I realize they need to be placed in an aquarium.  I will need a large one because they are growing quickly.  As it is just my luck there are a few aquariums stacked up in the corner which do not appear to be in use.  The aquariums don’t belong to me but I who would refuse to offer up this space so that the Koi can swim joyous and free.  I place them in the largest tank I can find and fill it with water.  Once filled with water, I notice there was  a school of smaller fish who resided in the tank before I placed my fish in there.  Both sets of fish my large Koi and the small fish are huddled in their respective corners fearful of one another.  I consider a new living arrangement for the fish.  Maybe I can utilize the smaller aquariums and distribute the fish to an appropriate tanks.  Some larger Koi may be placed temporarily in a smaller tank in solitude while I find other arrangements.  Or I can move the smaller fish as a group to a smaller community tank.  The smaller fish were living in a very large tank with very little water prefiously.  I think this 2nd option is a suitable substitute for them although I feel I will be evicting them from their original home.  I would love for them to simply not fear each other and cohabitate in the large tank as a family.

Cat’s Meow

Wanting a bookcase for my area as I need space to spread my wings.
I’m given a long feather that is now a part of me which gives me the ability to fly.  I move with strategic intent. I fly up to the rafters and as I approach I look for something to grip and hold on to. I don’t seem to need much support to remain suspended in flight.  I remain here hoping those who enter and pass below me won’t notice me up here.  I see someone walk in who immediately sees me.  It doesn’t seem to phase them to see me perched high in the ceiling.  From this vantage point I see Mocha is in the box that I packed 3 days ago I wonder how she survived there without a way to get out.
